What Is The Newest Samsung Phone?
Android phones have the latest modern technology in the phone. The best Android phones are often equipped with the most advanced features and equipment that mobile technology can offer, with Apple often following Android’s lead. From powerful phones like Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra with its amazing zoom camera, to more affordable models like the low-cost Pixel 6A, there’s an Android phone for everyone. And to help you find the right one for you, we’ve rounded up the best Android phones of 2023 so far.
If you have deep pockets and a passion for the latest and greatest technology around, you can also check out Samsung’s foldable models, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. These tilting displays are sure to attract some curious glances when you are out and about.
But all these choices can also make shopping for the best Android phones 2023 an overwhelming and confusing experience, so I’ve rounded up my favorite Android devices. These powerful Android phones usually have great cameras, displays, battery life, or all of the above. I also considered features like 5G and wireless charging.
Read on to see my top picks for the best Android phones and also my top tips on how to buy a new phone. The team occasionally updates this list as we review new products.
Best Camera Phones 2023
The $1,200 Galaxy S22 Ultra is one of the most expensive Android phones out there, but for good reason. It has a large 6.8-inch screen, an S Pen stylus that you can store inside the phone (just like the Galaxy Note), and a quad-lens camera with a zoom range that’s hard to beat. Samsung has also improved the way all its new Galaxy phones take photos in low light, which is especially important for a photo-oriented phone like the Ultra.
The only downside? The S22 Ultra’s exorbitant price and relatively short battery life. However, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the best phone for people who want the biggest screen and one of the best cameras available on a smartphone. You just have to be willing to pay a higher price for those benefits.
Google’s latest flagship phone, the Pixel 7 Pro, isn’t a huge improvement over the already excellent Google Pixel 6 Pro launched last year. But it’s taken that winning formula and made some key improvements to almost every element, resulting in a great phone that’s a joy to use. The refreshed camera can also take great pictures, earning its place among the best flagship phones around. It normally retails for $899, but Google currently has it on sale for $150 off.
The $1,000 Galaxy S22 Plus has the right balance of size, performance, and camera performance for most people. The 6.6-inch screen offers plenty of room for those who prefer larger phones but think the Ultra can be bulky (and expensive). The upgrade to a 50-megapixel camera over last year’s Galaxy S21 lineup also makes a big difference, especially when it comes to color and contrast in photos.
Best Budget Camera Phones Right Now: 7 Cheap Smartphones You Should Buy
My biggest complaint is that battery life was only marginal, though it outlasted the regular Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra in the battery test. It would also be nice to see new features that take advantage of the S22’s improved camera, especially since the S22 Plus is more expensive than many of the phones on this list. However, the Galaxy S22 Plus has everything most people need in a new phone.
At around $600, the Google Pixel 7 offers a great way to put Google’s best technology in your pocket without emptying your bank balance in the process. In some ways it undercuts the fully-specced 7 Pro, but still features the same Tensor G2 processor, a gorgeous display and a great main camera.
Like the 7 Pro, it has a fresh design that looks sleek and stylish, while its Android 13 software is clutter-free and easy to use. Battery life could be better, but with careful use you’ll get through the day on a charge. It lacks telephoto zoom and some of the 7 Pro’s other bells and whistles, but if you’re looking for a solid everyday phone at a great price, the basic Pixel 7 is a good choice.
Finding a small sized Android phone is not an easy task these days. Most phones come with screens of at least 6.4 inches or larger, leaving those who prefer smaller phones with few options. The $800 Galaxy S22 checks that box. It’s got everything we love about the Galaxy S22 Plus — an attractive design, a great camera system with a 50-megapixel main lens, and a sharp display — but in a more pocket-friendly size.

Still, the Galaxy S22 fails in the same area as its bigger sibling: battery life. I was able to get through a full day with the S22’s refresh rate tweaked, pushing it up to 120Hz for smooth motion, but just barely. That said, the S22’s battery life might be enough for some people, especially those who spend most of the day at home or in the office with a charger nearby. The Galaxy S22 is a solid choice for any Android user, but especially for those looking for a smaller phone.
The next-generation Pixel 6a is available now, and the smartphone is a solid choice if you want 5G on the cheap. This Pixel phone has a high-end chip, great rear cameras, great display and average battery life. This is one of the best cheap 5G smartphones you can buy right now.
The OnePlus 10 Pro earned a good score in our review thanks to its stylish design, its powerful performance and its price, which undercuts its main rivals. It needs some improvements – especially the camera, which is good but not great – but this flagship offers a great overall experience. If you’re after a high-end 5G phone that’s a little different from your friends’ iPhones and Galaxy phones, it’s a solid option to consider.
Flip phones haven’t really hit the mainstream, instead remaining only within the reach of those willing to shell out top dollar for the latest in mobile innovation. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the best foldable phone ever, offering top-notch performance, a great camera setup, and a variety of tweaks to its folding technology that make this Android smartphone more desirable than its predecessor his.
Iphone Vs. Android: How To Choose The Best Smartphone For You
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is an iterative update, but it’s good for its $1,000 price tag. Thanks to a more power-efficient processor and a larger battery with better battery life, the Flip is finally worth investing in as a flagship device.
With a full list price of $1,800, the Sony Xperia Pro isn’t for everyone. But if you’re a photographer or videographer looking for pro-grade camera phone features, you can’t go wrong. Xperia Pro is four products in one: a phone, a camera monitor, a fast photo file transfer device and a 5G machine suitable for streaming and live streaming.
The Nothing Phone 1’s affordable price, solid performance, and pretty good camera setup already make it a solid option to consider if you’re looking for an Android phone on a budget. But this phone takes the pizzazz to a higher level with an array of flashing LED lights on its back that definitely makes it stand out from its competitors.
It’s a great phone that we enjoyed reviewing, but there is a downside; like
