Best Place For Family Vacation In Colorado

Best Place For Family Vacation In Colorado – Our family is blessed to live in one of the most beautiful states of Colorado! Colorado is a large state that has several seasons in the year. It has a wide range of activities to choose from. As we prepare for our world tour, we want to make sure we fully enjoy our home before we leave. That’s why we’ve spent the past few months researching our amazing trails and researching the best activities for kids. While there are some amazing places to explore in Colorado, here are what we thought were the 13 best things to do in Colorado with kids!

Adventure Glenwood Caverns, a park located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, blew us away! To get to the adventure park, you’ll ride a 4,300-foot cable car, which is a great way to see the Rocky Mountains. When you get to the top, you get to what looks like a beautiful town straight out of the Wild West. There are so many activities that it can take an entire day! Our absolute favorite activity was the mountain coaster. It was also an adrenaline rush and an incredible sight. Santi loved 4D theater and laser tag, and with unlimited passes, he wanted to do each activity over and over again. They also have the popular Haunted Mines Blast, which is similar to Disney’s Tower of Horrors, but is an elevator that takes you down a mine. All I can say is that it was incredibly exciting! There are dozens of other outdoor rides that are open seasonally so your family can have the best time all day long. The park also has cave tours that take you up the mountain for a 40 minute tour and it feels like a whole new world! To end your day with some relaxation, be sure to check out the local hot springs, just a few minutes from the tram stop!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is always a fun adventure for kids! Cheyenne Mountain is home to America’s only mountain zoo. Located at 6,800 feet above sea level, it offers stunning views of Colorado Springs all around! Due to the location, part of the zoo has hills to climb, so if your kids tire easily we recommend a stroller. One of the most popular exhibits is the giraffe exhibit, where for $3 you can feed giraffes for a handful of lettuce. It really is an amazing experience. If you come during the holidays, check out their special events, too, from Boo at the Zoo (where you trick or treat) to the Christmas Electric Ride (where the zoo is lit up with lights).

Here’s The Best Beach In Colorado

The Royal Gorge Bridge was more fun than we expected because little did we know there were so many activities to enjoy on the other side of the bridge! The bridge sits 956 feet above the wild Arkansas River and has stunning views in every direction. You can walk across the bridge or take a gondola ride for a fun experience. Once you get to the other side of the bridge, there are plenty of attractions to choose from! There is the Tommy Knocker Children’s Playground, which includes a carousel, a swimming garden, gold pans and an amazing 3-storey play structure. For older kids and adults, they offer the highest zip line in North America. They also have Sky Beach that suspends you 1,200 feet above the Arkansas River. Finally, they often hold outdoor concerts for the whole family, which is perfect for dancing and having a good time. Overall, the Royal Gorge Bridge had something for everyone and it was a great trip for our family! If you want to see our time on the Royal Gorge Bridge, check out our video!

The North Pole is a magical experience for young children where the Christmas spirit lives on from May to December! This amusement park is ideal for young children between the ages of 2 and 8, as the rides are definitely designed for a younger audience. We love that the park still has that old school charm that brings back the nostalgia of our childhood days. We also love that the garden is the perfect size and makes it easy to walk around but never looks crowded. At the North Pole, you can go hiking, see shows, meet Santa, and feed reindeer.

Glamping (aka luxury camping) has always been high on our priority list. This lavish spot in Carbondale, Colorado was even better than we expected! Carbondale is a beautiful town only 40 minutes from Aspen, and this sweet spot was located on a beautiful farm. This tent is designed for two people, but has worked well with two small children. They have tents and other tents in the same area that are designed for most people, but something here seemed special to us. In front of this tent was a lake for the kids to fish (catch and release) and there were plenty of animals to see around the farms. Another feature of this place is the presence of a beautiful warehouse in which artists work, which is open for viewing during the day. The warehouse also has bathrooms and showers that are available 24 hours a day.

If we are looking for a fun and exciting day out with the kids, the Cave of the Winds might be our favorite spot in Colorado Springs. The whole family can enjoy a fun tour of the cave, a 45-minute walk where you learn about the cave’s geology and history. Longer cave experiences are also available, but they have age restrictions for those who want more time in the cave. Also, for all ages enjoy the gems and the big adventure slide. For kids 42 inches or taller, they offer the Wind Walker Challenge Course, a 3-story ropes course that spans the edge of Williams Canyon. They also have the Bat-A-Pult, which is a 1,200-foot thrill ride that reminds me of a zipline. For those 48 inches and over, the Terror-Dactyl is Colorado’s most exciting outdoor adventure ride. It really throws you into the valley and it truly is an experience you won’t forget! Note that some outdoor activities are weather dependent. Overall, there is a little something for all ages, and any family that tries out the Cave of the Winds will have a fun experience.

Family Friendly Spring Yurt Destinations In Colorado

If you want a fun-filled week for you and your kids, Majestic Dude Ranch is the place to be! It seems like the perfect summer camp for any age group! Every day is packed with activities to choose from: horseback riding, archery, archery, zoo, swimming, paintball, fishing, 4 wheeling, hiking, biking and white water rafting. They even have a kids club with counselors to keep all the kids entertained from morning to night and give them loads of fun. Each meal was included and each meal was just as delicious and filling as the next! We had such a great time bonding as a family, exploring the farm and we can’t wait to go back!

The Garden of the Gods is a Registered Natural National Monument. These stunning rock formations and beautiful trails are a must-do if you come to Colorado. We are lucky enough to live near God’s Garden, so we go often. Kids absolutely love climbing the formations and going on what they call “adventure trips”. No matter how many times we visit this beautiful sight, it never gets old and the kids are always excited to come back! Depending on when you visit, it can sometimes be difficult to find parking, but it is definitely worth the wait, as a stroll through the Garden of the Gods is the ultimate enjoyable experience.

Great Sands National Park is home to the highest sand dunes in North America. The dunes are a natural playground where children can skate. If you go in May or June, they can play at Medano Creek! When we left, there wasn’t enough water to run the river, but our son was playing in the mud and splashing around. If you are going to the dunes, here are some things you should pack: baby powder (to remove the sand), extra clothing and goggles or goggles because it can get windy and if sand gets in your kids’ eyes it can ruin the fun Also note that you cannot rent Slabs of sand in the actual park. They must be rented before you arrive, so check the locations where rentals are available and park your car in the park.

Maroon Bells is indeed one of them
