Changing your password is something you do yourself. If you have access to your website and profile settings, you should be able to easily change your WordPress password. In other words, you change your password when you know your current password.
A password reset is something the system requires you to do, or if not, check with your administrator. For this post, I’m assuming you’re the site admin and have permission to reset passwords for other users – I’ll show you how later in this post.
The key to resetting your password is that you do it if you don’t know the existing password.

There are several methods you can use to change or reset your password in WordPress, and most of them apply to multiple scenarios.
So, let’s take a look at the ones you want or need to change your password for, and find out the methods you can use for each.
