In general, we recommend using the seed list test to check deliverability. why? This test is more thorough in checking certain aspects of your email that could flag it as spam; the test will not only check your content and subject line, it will also check if your IP address or domain is blocked. The seed list test also provides more accurate test results.

If you use an email service provider (ESP) to send your email, seed list testing is the way to go. A seed list is an internal email list that you can send test emails to, such as colleagues, family members or friends. Ideally, you want the email address to cover a variety of email clients and devices so you can check if it gets through various email spam filters.

For accurate results it is important to remember to send the test email directly to the seed list. Do not paste the list into CC/BCC or forward. Otherwise, the test will not work.

A quick note: If you’re using email on the Acid Platform for seed list testing, don’t worry if it looks like you’re getting incomplete results the first time. It happen.
