Lost Your Phone? You Can Block It Instantly

What is the special value of this binary and what are its secondary uses?

IMEI (as mentioned earlier) stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. Serial number (special set) is specific to the equipment (of course for mobile devices). The manufacturer assigns the number to the mobile device, like all other components, for the vehicle.

Mobile devices with a SIM card are identified by a dedicated IMEI number. IMEI is a 15-digit number that is believed to be unique and universally recognized. For your information, devices with dual SIM card slots will have two unique IMEI numbers (15 digits) worldwide.

The TAC (i.e.  Association Code) is usually attached to the mobile module or modem (in mobile IoT). IMEI not only identifies the device model but also confirms the model, year of release, manufacturer, or specifications of other mobile devices.

A TC rating by reporting authorities is an approved sign that a device, module, or modem has been approved and passed the necessary regulatory review. With the monitoring and support of TAC, the network can support more device connection capacity (and signal).

You can hack the IMEI number in the main program, even if the manufacturer does not intend to do so. Thieves often bypass this option by using appropriate programs available in the Google and Apple app stores. They want to change the IMEI of a stolen phone (for example) that can no longer be recognized using this trick.

First, you need to write down the IMEI number of your device and keep it in a safe place (well, write it down on paper). Not everyone can remember the IMEI number which consists of 15 digits (sequence). If your device is lost or stolen, to report it to the police, you must share the IMEI number. The device will be completely blocked by the user based on this IMEI number. Therefore, you should not send your IMEI number to others.

It is considered as a fingerprint device. Authorized mobile operators, the police or manufacturers can use this unique 15-digit number to track the device in a bad situation – such as a lost or stolen case. The IMEI is assigned to the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) operating phone. It can be used in activities such as turning off the device or checking the status of the smartphone you have purchased.

Imei Number: Phone Lost Or Stolen? Now, Track Or Block The Device Using Imei Number

The IMEI number is not only used when the device is stolen but also when device manufacturers or suppliers need to investigate faults or complaints. You can determine the IMEI number of your device by:

1. Universally accepted IMEI code – press * # 06 # almost on any phone. You do not need to send or press the phone button – the IMEI code will appear by itself.

2. For iPhone or iPad mobile devices, you need to go to the settings application on the home screen. Go to general and access to the device and you will find some information about your iPad or iPhone.

Also, scroll down to specify the IMEI number. Just write it in memory. If you can’t use your iPhone or iPad, you can use the SIM card to find the IMEI number.

Available on iPhone models starting with the 6s. However, the IMEI will be on the back of the phone for iPads (from iPhone SE / older iPhones or iPod Touch).

3. For Android you need to open settings and app drawer. If your Android device has a removable battery, you can check the IMEI under the battery.

You must turn off the Android device when removing the battery. You can also look for a Sim Tray that will have the IMEI 15 number printed on it.

You can also check through the About Android section in the Settings option and see the 15-digit IMEI inside. Be sure to save the number for future use.

4. As the fourth resort, you can also find the original phone packaging. Once you’ve found it, you’ll need to check your box. You can call the passcode and serial number next to IMEI properly.

The IMEI number should not be shared publicly as it is considered private information. From the seller’s point of view, the best bet is to share the IMEI only after the buyer has paid the initial price of the smartphone.

The reason for this is that sharing the IMEI number for free can lead to serious risks. You can lose out to hackers who can pretend to be hackers. Many consumers will be skeptical of this policy, but marketplaces and services like Swappa (and others) have flexible policies to protect the interests of consumers. Again – get your privacy – don’t spoil!

Ideally, from this point on, you can easily say that the IMEI has nothing to do with the SIM card but is connected to the device (like an identity). This should not be confused with the UICC (universal integrated card) or SIM card number. IMEI is used by authorized parties, such as device manufacturers, mobile operators, or the police to track or locate a particular phone regardless of the card.

Free Blacklist Check (blocked Or Clean)

IMEI is also known as ESN (Electronic Number) or MEID (Mobile Equipment Identity). This is a unique number associated with our phone. It is not possible for two devices to have the same IMEI. The ESN can come in different forms – it can be a 14-digit MEID for older devices or a 15-digit IMEI.

IMEI allows device tracking. This tracking message is shared with the network provider. The phone will be blocked and the device will be useless (even if the SIM has been changed) unless it is locked.

You can get the MEID/IMEI number by logging into your provider’s online account. You can also search the box (if available). The IMEI will be placed on the back box.

For older iOS or Android, you can find it on the battery (back of the device) or on the SIM tray.

Samsung Imei Number Check

It is International Mobile Equipment Identity – Software Version. This is a 16-length code that is different from the IMEI. The last two numbers are the SV or firmware/software version identifier. It is used to deploy previous versions of software on devices from manufacturers as soon as new software is released.

2. FAC (Final Assembly Process) as the name will identify where the last production stage consists of 2 digits.

3. SNR or Sequence Number is the SNR used to identify a unique device, combining the same FAC and TAC.
