How To Know If Ur Having Twins – Some early signs of pregnancy include missed periods, fatigue, nausea, implantation bleeding, tender breasts, mood swings, or no symptoms at all. Signs of a twin pregnancy can include stronger symptoms early in the pregnancy, but there’s no way to really know you’re pregnant with twins until two babies are seen on an ultrasound. During the 4th week of twin pregnancy, the blastocyst will implant in the uterine wall and form an embryo, and its body parts will begin to form. The placenta, amniotic sac, and yolk sac will form during this time to support your baby as well.
By the 4th week of pregnancy, you may have just found out you’re pregnant or you may not be sure – and you may or may not have early pregnancy symptoms. While you may notice early signs of pregnancy, such as implantation bleeding or breast tenderness, you may not have any clues for a few weeks — and that’s okay! You may have a positive pregnancy test this week, although it’s still early enough for a false negative. If you have a positive pregnancy test and are pregnant with twins, you won’t know there are two babies until your doctor sees two babies on the ultrasound.
How To Know If Ur Having Twins
Symptoms of twin pregnancy at 4 weeks are the same as symptoms of singleton pregnancy. You may experience very early signs of pregnancy, but then again, some women experience nothing at this point. Some symptoms, such as nausea and breast tenderness, can be more intense with a twin pregnancy than a singleton pregnancy, if felt so early. Some women have reported “getting the feeling” or “just knowing” that they are carrying twins, although this is certainly not the case for everyone. While severe symptoms and intuition can be a sign of a twin pregnancy, the only sure way to confirm a twin pregnancy is later through an ultrasound.
Here’s What I Learned When My Twin Girls Went Viral
This week, your baby (in the early blastocyst stage) will implant in the wall of the uterus and develop into an embryo. The placenta, amniotic sac, and yolk sac will begin to grow to support your baby.

We had twins in 4d 6s. So excited but we sure didn’t expect this! Mother of twins, tell me everything! Anything you want to know before having twins, anything important about twins, how long your morning sickness lasts (I’m unhappy), any story you want to share 😊
Am I Having Twins This Pregnancy?
Second this post! Found out about our twins on my US 6w 2d on 12/23. Any wisdom and advice would be greatly appreciated!
Congratulations! Based on your ultrasound, it looks like your twins share a placenta. I’ll ask the doctor about it.
Oh yeah! He also mentioned this. I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks and she said we are going to try to see if they are in their own amniotic sac or not. He said if it’s too early, we’ll look again in a few weeks. How far are you?
Great! Glad they mentioned it. I also share a placenta. This changes the way doctors monitor you because there are additional risks. That’s why I mentioned asking the doctor about it, but maybe they already cover everything! At 6 weeks, it’s usually too early to know if they also share an amniotic sac. They found my twins at 6 weeks and told me it was too early to diagnose as mono/di or mono/mono. They were able to diagnose me at 8 weeks (but it may take longer for others).
Hello! I’m New Here! I’m Having Twins!
I’m 17 weeks and I have di/di twins so my twins look a little different. Each is in its own bag and has its own placenta. I recommend you go to MFM. Even if your obstetrician says you don’t need it, I would ask for a reference to which one in your area is good and call and make your first appointment. I started seeing mine at 12 weeks. It is VERY important that you go to one especially with twins who share a placenta. You will be checked every two weeks and you will be in great hands, I love my MFM so much and he really put me at ease with the whole “high risk” pregnancy label.
As for the symptoms, I was very nauseous until 14 weeks. I hate to tell you, you have a little time to go, but take my advice on this… ASK your doctor for nausea meds!! I suffered for a long time and didn’t ask until 13 weeks because I kept saying I could take it. Do yourself a favor and order right away. I’m on decligis, but I heard that Zofran is good too. After 14 weeks, the nausea has subsided, but I still have food aversions here and there. Mostly the pain is getting worse now and I’m still very tired.
If you have any questions, we can privately message you on Instagram or whatever if you want to chat with another mom of twins! Good luck to you and your baby and CONGRATULATIONS! Two small blessings💗💙
OK. I take medicine for nausea and I drink tea for constipation. I definitely have growing pains… feels like a lot of stretching with hip pain. I just want to get the next app!🤣 Hope my nugget has a good heartbeat😍
Twin Parenting: How To Naturally Increase Your Chances Of Having Twins By Richard Park
My symptoms didn’t subside and I had a good sized lump so I took that as a good sign. You can’t help but worry, though.
I’m sure I understand how scared I was when I found out I was having twins too. Seeing my MFM was a real relief for me so I recommend you go to the MFM ASAP. 🤍
I remember being very nervous about the heartbeat at first too. Try to rest and pray for your baby every day and do things to occupy your time. I love reading twins books, it’s a great way to take the worry out and focus on the fun of having twins. You can definitely get this
I also had the worst nausea and constipation. As I said earlier, ask your doctor for medicine and don’t be afraid! Help yourself if you are hurting. And another piece of advice is not to worry too much about gaining weight in the first trimester. I keep worrying about it because it’s two and my doctor keeps telling me to eat what I can and drink water and cut back on my prenatals and that’s all that matters. 👍 Honestly, I had cramps and increasing pain during my first tri and I still do. I think it’s just our uteruses growing so fast because it makes room for two people. All my doctors told me not to worry about it unless it is severe and accompanied by bleeding so yes I would say it is normal 😘
Meanings When You Dream About Having Twins
Thanks for sharing!! I’ll check out the book😊 I’m afraid of having twins… I had MMC last year, so I’m more afraid to worry about TWO babies! It was hard to wait so long between my first and second app. My second order is the 31st. I was so scared that my obstetrician would tell me there was no heartbeat. It’s very incredible. I’m 10w 2d and the nausea is so bad🤢🤦🏼♀️ Constipated too…gosh😖🤣 Oh! Is it possible to have round ligament pain so early?
I also recommend the book “what to do when you have two kids”, it gave me a lot of information about my pregnancy and what to expect. It also taught me a lot about giving birth to twins and twins that I never knew🤍 I ordered mine on Amazon!
Congratulations! I’m 22 weeks so I don’t have much information on when the twins will actually be here. I’d say most of my nausea goes away around 12 weeks (it’s just before the end of the first trimester). I still have an aversion to food and smell. Be prepared for heartburn too.
I read the book “When You’re Expecting Twins, Triplets and Quadruplets” by Dr. Barbara Lucas. I wish I had known about this earlier in my pregnancy. It has a lot of good information in it.
