Phones That Can Run Genshin Impact

Phones That Can Run Genshin Impact – Earlier this week, miHoIO released the highly anticipated RPG, Genshin Impact, for PC, PS4, and mobile devices. As the game is inspired by titles like Breath of the Wild, Genshin Impact has a large open world to explore. Still, it’s a tricky game to play on mobile. Players need 8GB of storage space on their phone to install the game.

If you have an Android phone and are wondering if you can run the game on your device, miHoIo has published the minimum and recommended system requirements for the game. These will definitely help make sure your phone can play Genshin Impact, but they don’t really represent how the game will feel on other Android hardware.

That’s why we decided to test Genshin Impact on five different Android phones, from budget devices to flagship gaming smartphones. This test will give you an idea of how you can run Genshin Impact on different phone levels.

Testing Genshin Impact On Budget, Mid Range, And Flagship Smartphones

Let’s start with the Lenovo S5 Pro, which retails for PHP 7,490 (about $155) in the Philippines. It has a Snapdragon 636 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. According to the minimum requirements of Genshin Impact, this phone should have enough power to run the game.

After downloading Genshin Impact, the game was able to run at 30 FPS on the lowest graphics settings on my Lenovo S5 Pro. Genshin Impact can be played on a phone, but it’s not the best experience. There are a few obstacles when you face enemies and some cutscenes. Accessing the system drop-down menu and switching to other apps while playing games was also significantly slower. In contrast, the Lenovo S5 Pro did not heat up much during gaming.

Given these results, if you’re currently using a fairly new budget Android phone, you should be able to run Genshin Impact on your device despite the lowest graphics settings and some issues. If you’re using an old, cheap phone, it might not run the game well enough.

Next, we tested the Genshin Impact on three mid-range phones, each with a different processor and price. The first mid-ranger we’ve tried is the new Realme 7 Pro in the Philippines priced at PHP 17,990 (about $370), which includes a Snapdragon 720G processor and 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The processor on this phone is a notch (or two) higher than the Snapdragon 636, so Genshin Impact was able to run pretty smoothly at medium graphics settings at 30 FPS. The phone can also run games at 60 FPS on medium or 30 FPS on high, but you should expect a slight drop in frame rate here and there at those settings.

The next mid-range model we tested is the Samsung Galaxy A71. Priced at PHP 22,990 (about $474), it runs on a Snapdragon 730G processor and has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

On the A71, the Genshin Impact is almost the same as on the Realme 7 Pro. This means that the A71 can play games on medium graphics settings. You can increase the graphics or FPS to 60, but expect hiccups here and there.

What about MediaTek based phones? We also tested the Genshin Impact in the new Zone 7. This new phone costs PHP 14,990 (about $309) and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 processor paired with 8GB of RAM.

On the Realme 7, Genshin Impact ran smoothly on medium graphics settings. What we didn’t expect was that the realme 7 actually outperformed the 7 Pro and the A71 even in 60 FPS mode. You can also continue the game in high graphics settings of Realme 7. Just keep the FPS at 30.

Finally, I played Genshin Impact on my flagship gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 3. It costs PHP 49,990 (about US$1,030) and has a Snapdragon 865+ processor, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.

On the ROG Phone 3, Genshin Impact ran smoothly at the highest graphics settings and 60 FPS. So, to play Genshin Impact on mobile with the best possible gaming experience, a flagship phone like the ROG Phone 3 is essential.

Genshin Impact is definitely a tricky game. Especially if you want to play on higher graphics settings as you will need a flagship device. You can run Genshin Impact on some budget devices if you want to play it and play it on lower settings.

Of course, these results are based on smartphones released in 2020. So, if you’re using a low-end device that was released a year or two ago, you might not be able to run the game smoothly on your phone. Or, if your phone is a flagship from two years ago, you may need to reduce the graphics to medium.

Genshin Impact made waves around the world, grossing around $250 million at launch. We’ve spent a lot of time playing games, but most people are probably asking, “I’m playing on mobile. Which phone should I buy for the best experience?” PC and console gamers don’t have to worry about this as the hardware is somewhat optimized for the game. The best smartphones to play Genshin Impact

The game is already optimized for PS4 and Nintendo Switch, so PC players can upgrade parts of their PC for better performance. However, for smartphone users, they are locked into the hardware they buy, so choose carefully before buying hardware.

Here are some things to consider when buying a smartphone to play Genshin Impact. CPU – processing power

The CPU is the most important thing you want to target if you want your game to run smoothly. The higher the number of cores and the higher the clock speed, the better the experience. For example, the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor outperforms the low-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. MediaTek’s Helio G95 and G90T processors are also excellent choices for gaming. GPU – Graphics performance

The next thing that determines how well it performs visually is the GPU. Of course, the superior processor is paired with a better graphics chip to ensure a smoother and more beautiful screen experience. Unfortunately, you can’t mix and match GPUs on a smartphone, so you’re pretty much stuck on which processor you choose. RAM – smooth

The amount of RAM you have on your smartphone is very important when it comes to how smoothly your games run and how much your screen cracks or lags. Mihoio recommended that you need at least 4GB of RAM to run the game. So the more RAM you have, the more your phone will need to run games and check background apps.

Let’s say you choose a mid-range smartphone with a Snapdragon 720G processor and you can choose between two RAM variants: 4GB and 6GB RAM. Depending on the smartphone you’re buying, it’s best to stretch your budget a bit more to get the 6GB variant, as the increased RAM can give you more storage space. Screen – better visual display

Your smartphone screen can also add to your gaming experience. The size of the screen is not that important, but what matters is the type of panel and the refresh rate. First, an OLED or Super AMOLED panel saves more battery and provides a better and brighter picture when playing games. The LCD panel also runs the game, but it can be more draining on the battery.

Is There A Difference Between Mobile, Ps4, And Pc Versions Of Genshin Impact?

The refresh rate is the standard 60Hz refresh rate on most phones and it works fine. However, if you have a 90Hz, 120Hz or 144Hz phone, the video in your games will be smoother and flow better. Of course, the game only runs at 60fps, but at least you can max out at 60fps. Graphics settings – Variety of performance

When playing on a mobile device, Genshin Impact lets you choose your graphics settings.
