If you are not sure what to say to a depressed loved one or a depressed friend, read my article titled “What Not to Say When a Loved One Is “Depressed. “

This is something to say to people who have depression, anxiety or mental illness. Some more:
Maybe you have said this 1000 times, but for people who are disappointed, there is nothing better than when they are against themselves and feel that others have abandoned them and do not love them.
This may seem like a small thing, but for people with depression who feel alone in their pain, this can be a great comfort.
Stress Vs. Anxiety: Differences, Symptoms, And Relief
It is often associated with people with depression, anxiety or other mental problems that they should be able to overcome. But by showing your sorrow for their pain, it means that you really care, even if you don’t understand.
This shows that you are willing to help. Sometimes grieving loved ones may not be able to think of specific things you can do to help, but just your request will provide comfort and encouragement. On the other hand, small things often weigh heavily on the minds of depressed people. Your program can lighten their burden. But on the other hand, don’t stop if you don’t want to see it through. That will only make things worse. (A practical way to help a friend in need.)
When you are depressed, you may find it easier to believe that something is “wrong with you” and that you are the only one who is suffering. Depression often has the same medical history as thyroid disease. Having depression makes no one crazier than having thyroid disease or diabetes.
This may seem obvious to loved ones who are not disappointed, but for those who are disappointed, most need to remember that there is hope. The Bible tells us that “joy comes in the morning,” and that is a warning to those who are discouraged.

In this case, it is not just a suggestion. Actions often speak louder than words. I remember a scripture when Job was in trouble. In Job 2:13 it says that his friend came to sit with him for seven days and nights. At that time, they did not say a word because they saw how much it hurt. Words could do nothing to help him, but their company spoke volumes.
Remember that when you talk to someone who is depressed, your goal is to encourage and support them.
“But if it were me, I would support you. I will try to ease your sorrow” (Job 16:5 NLT).
